General information and Program
We are very pleased to welcome the rare-earth science community to the 33rd international conference "Terrae Rarae" ("33. Tage der Seltenen Erden") which will be held from October 7 to 9, 2025 at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Karlsruhe/Germany.
The conference is organized by our Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) “4f for Future” and funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation). The scientific program focuses on the chemistry and physics of f-element compounds.

Presentation guidelines
Please be sure to prepare your presentation according to the following rules:
Oral presentations
- should preferably be in MS PowerPoint format, the files must be uploaded onto the presentation laptop at the latest before the beginning of each session.
- Please bear in mind that the time slot for your oral presentation is a maximum of 17 min. (talk) plus 3 min. (discussion). (In the case of plenary lectures: 40 min. plus 10 min.)
- All oral presentations will be held at the Johann-Gottfried-Tulla lecture hall (upper floor of building 11.40, KIT Campus South).
- Should you not be able to present your work please notify us at your earliest convenience so that we can adjust the program accordingly.
Poster presentations

There will be two poster sessions, cf. schedule. Both will take place in the foyer of the Johann-Gottfried-Tulla lecture hall (ground floor).

Posters should be printed out and brought to the venue by the presenting authors. For each poster one poster board is reserved (marked with the poster number).

The size of your poster must be A0 (841 x 1189 mm²) portrait format.

Posters should be set up before the actual session takes place (foyer is open); push pins are provided by the organizers. The posters should please be taken down again at the end of the session.

Conference venue
All plenary, oral and poster presentations will take place at the Johann-Gottfried-Tulla lecture hall (and facilities) on KIT Campus South (building 11.40: Kollegiengebäude am Ehrenhof).

Abstract submission is now closed. You have been notified of the acceptance of your submitted abstract (oral or poster contribution).
Conference registration
The registration period has now ended. As the individual registration is free of charge, we kindly request all participants to arrange their own accommodation, e.g., via standard online booking portals.
